Terms of service

These terms govern your use of PageStax, an app for Shopify stores (the “Service”). By installing or using the Service you agree to them on behalf of the store you install it on.

1. The Service

PageStax lets you design and publish pages on your Shopify store, and set up offers, journeys, reviews and experiments with analytics. Features available to you depend on your plan. We may improve, change or discontinue features over time.

2. Your account and access

• You must have authority to install apps on the Shopify store you connect.
• You are responsible for activity under your store’s installation, including actions taken with agent tokens you create. Keep tokens secret and revoke any you no longer need.

3. Plans, billing and trials

• Paid plans are charged through Shopify’s billing system every 30 days at the price shown when you subscribe. Paid plans include a 14-day free trial.
• You can change or cancel your plan at any time from the app. Charges already made are handled according to Shopify’s billing policies.
• Plan limits (for example, published pages, running tests and live journeys) are enforced by the Service.

4. Your content and store data

You keep all rights to the content you create and the store data PageStax accesses. You grant us a limited licence to host, process and display it solely to provide the Service. Our handling of personal information is described in the privacy policy.

5. Your responsibilities

• You are responsible for what you publish, including product claims, prices, offers and discounts, and for complying with laws that apply to your store, such as consumer protection and privacy laws.
• PageStax is designed not to display commerce claims without a real mechanism behind them, but you remain responsible for reviewing pages and offers before making them live.
• You will not use the Service to break the law, infringe others’ rights, interfere with the Service, or attempt to access other merchants’ data.

6. Changes to your theme

Some publishing options change your store’s theme, such as replacing a product page template or your home page. PageStax keeps a copy of the original home page it replaces and restores it when you unpublish. We recommend keeping your own theme backups.

7. Availability and warranty

We aim to keep the Service available and working, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. Experiment results are statistical estimates, not guarantees of future performance.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or revenue. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the Service in the [placeholder] months before the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end access for a breach of these terms. On uninstall, your data is deleted as described in the privacy policy.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will give notice in the app or by email before it takes effect.
